Cannes 2015 Accessories Charlize Theron

Cannes 2015 Accessories Charlize Theron

The much anticipated yearly Cannes Film Festival has started and what a feast for our eyes! The most stunning gowns combined with subtle accessories to create the perfect finishing touches.

For every Cannes festival, there is always one actress that simply shines in her gown. This is a dress that we sit-up and take notice of…all the other dresses simply look like…dresses! But, this is the one which catches our eye! This year, it has to be the Charlize Theron Christian Dior dress in canary yellow. What a bold choice of colour and utterly sleek, contemporary lines for such a high profile event. The structure in Theron’s gown was perfectly shaped and it accentuated her slim, athletic structure beautifully. With such a stunningly vibrant outfit, the only accessory she needed was a pair of sparkly stud earrings and some costume rings to add interest. We adore this look!

The focus with a red-carpet event is – inevitably – the dress itself. ButĀ it is important that the look is completed with just the right style and amount of accessories to prevent looking overdone. The gowns on display at Cannes 2015 exuded simplicity and flowing fabrics and most actresses chose to accessorise with simply some earrings and a bracelet. Footwear was understated and carefully selected to match and tone with the dresses on display. Karlie Kloss and Doutzen Kroes – for example – both chose to blend silver shoes with their very different Versace outfits. TheĀ overall look creates complementary tones and ensures that the accessories never clash with the gown itself – simply blend!

Recreate a star worthy finishing touch with some glamorous, crystal stud earrings designed to imitate real diamonds!
